New Table Technology

About
New table technology
Our new tables are live across Baccarat, Blackjack and Poker, with Roulette to follow soon. This innovation is part of our commitment to provide a world-class, seamless, and secure gaming environment. Our table games will operate with new RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)-enabled chips.
What is the new table technology?
You might not notice a difference to your day to day play when our new table technology goes live. Operating as a standard table game, our new tables are working in the background to ensure we’re rewarding your play accurately, and that your chips are even safer by linking your new chips to you directly.
The new tables enable our team to automatically identify any game errors, ensuring the utmost compliance, and resulting in a seamless experience while playing at Crown.
New chips
From 29 September new casino chips will be introduced for game play at Baccarat, Blackjack and Progressive Poker tables with Roulette to follow in November. While your old chips will still retain their value, you'll need to exchange them prior to play.
Our new casino chips, contain RFID technology, and will be read by the new table antennas, which allows Crown to track chip ownership, accurate transactions, game rule adherence and rating data for accurate loyalty rewards.

Why are we making this change?
Why are we making this change?
Our new table technology supports Enhanced Player Data (EPD) collection, a regulatory requirement designed to ensure accurate tracking of gaming activity. This requirement ensures we’re continuing to provide the safest gaming environment for our members.
It also means:
- Your gaming ratings (which generates your loyalty rewards from table games play) will no longer be manually allocated, and instead be based on automatically tracked and verified gameplay.
- You will have more visibility over your play, your rewards, and control over your experience at Crown.
Will this affect how many Crown Rewards points I earn?
Will this affect how many Crown Rewards points I earn?
In implementing the new tables, Crown will not be changing the rate at which you earn Crown Rewards points from table game play. However, by removing the manual element, the tables will ensure guests earn points exactly - based on actual gameplay.
