Loss Limit Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions
loss limits
App means the Crown Resorts Mobile Application.
Loss Limit means the amount nominated by you as being your maximum Net Loss for the Relevant Period.
Net Loss means the cumulative amount of turnover (i.e. bets placed by you) less the cumulative amount of wins received by you during the Relevant Period.
Relevant Period means one or more of calendar day, week or month as selected by you in accordance with Clause 1.
Smart Table Outage means a system or technology outage which results in the Smart Table Technology being unavailable for a period of time.
Smart Table Technology means the RFID technology and associated systems used by Crown on all table games to capture betting activity and outcomes on a result-by-result basis.
1. Members and guests of the Crown Sydney Casino may elect to set a Loss Limit. A Loss Limit can be set for a calendar day, week and/or month, which will be the Relevant Period for the purposes of calculating the Net Loss. If you elect to set a Loss Limit, it is your responsibility to determine the amount of any Loss Limit having regard to your individual circumstances. From 1 December 2025, or such other date as determined by Crown in its discretion, you will not be able to use your Card for gaming in the Crown Sydney Casino if you do not set a Loss Limit or expressly advise Crown that you do not want to set a Loss Limit.
2. You may set a Loss Limit, change a Loss Limit you have set or opt-out of setting a Loss Limit at any time. You can set or change your Loss Limit, or opt out of setting a Loss Limit, through the App or by visiting the Host desk at Crown Sydney. If you wish to change a Loss Limit you have set, a decrease in your Loss Limit will take effect immediately following the actioning of your request by Crown. Increases or removals of Loss Limits will not take effect until 24 hours after the actioning of your request by Crown.
3. Crown will record information about your turnover, wins and losses from gaming activity using your player card at Crown Sydney (Relevant Data) and utilise this information to track your Net Loss and enforce your Loss Limit accordingly. The Net Loss will be tracked from the point you first set a Loss Limit and will not apply retrospectively to gaming activity prior to that point in time. For table games, subject to Clause 6, this information is recorded using Smart Table Technology on a best estimates basis meaning it may not exactly reflect your gaming activity with Crown at all times.
4. Upon the Relevant Data showing that your Loss Limit has been reached or exceeded, you will be prevented from further gaming activity at Crown Sydney for the remainder of the Relevant Period. This will be enforced following completion of the round of play, other than during a Smart Table Outage when it will be enforced in accordance with Clause 6. Crown will therefore accept your bet where the amount of this bet when added to your Net Loss would exceed your Loss Limit. This means your final bet when added to your Net Loss may exceed your Loss Limit and it is therefore your responsibility to consider the potential impact of a final losing bet.
5. Your Net Loss will reset at the following times:
(a) midnight (Sydney time) each day for the purposes of calculating your Net Loss for a day;
(b) midnight (Sydney time) every Monday for the purposes of calculating your Net Loss for a week; and
(c) midnight (Sydney time) on the 1st day of each month for the purposes of calculating your Net Loss for a month.
6. In the event of a Smart Table Outage, Crown will record and input the Relevant Data manually on a best estimates basis after you leave the table and your rating is closed. If your Loss Limit has been reached or exceeded, it will be enforced at that time. This means that during a Smart Table Outage, any gaming activity on table games may result in you reaching or exceeding your Loss Limit prior to the point at which it is enforced. It is therefore your responsibility to consider the potential impact of playing on table games during this period.
7. There are inherent system, technology and process limitations that may result in your Loss Limit being reached or exceeded. These include, but are not limited to, occasions where your Net Loss, as recorded by Crown and used to enforce your Loss Limit, does not exactly reflect your gaming activity with Crown. This may be as a result of the Relevant Data being recorded on a best estimates basis for table game play or otherwise as a result of technical malfunction, system outage and/or a delay in your gaming activity being recorded in our systems. This may also occur as a result of bets being placed using chips belonging to you by other customers and/or bets being placed by other customers which are attributed to you. Crown will endeavour to ensure that your Loss Limit is tracked and enforced in real time, or otherwise as per Clause 6, in accordance with these terms and conditions, however Crown:
(i) Makes no representation or warranties about the accuracy of the Relevant Data; and
(ii) Does not guarantee that you will be prevented from gaming as soon as your Loss Limit has been reached.
8. By setting a Loss Limit, you acknowledge and agree that your Net Loss will be tracked, and your Loss Limit is enforced, by Crown in the manner described in these terms and conditions, noting the limitations that apply including in respect of table games data and the system limitations and you release Crown from any liability arising from your Net Loss reaching or exceeding your Loss Limit as a result of these limitations.
9. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crown is not liable for any loss or damage suffered by you arising directly or indirectly from or in connection with (i) any technical malfunctions, errors or delays in systems or equipment, however caused, which prevents or hinders the tracking of your Loss Limit and your gaming activity at Crown Sydney (including as the result of a Smart Table Outage) and which results in you reaching or exceeding your Loss Limit; (ii) any inaccuracies in the Relevant Data which results in your actual Net Loss reaching or exceeding your Loss Limit; or (iii) you intentionally, recklessly or by any dishonest means reaching or exceeding your Loss Limit
10. Crown Sydney will periodically send you information regarding the benefits of Loss Limits. You consent to Crown Sydney sending you this information including by electronic means such as text, email or via the App.
11. This Loss Limit operates independently from any Deposit Limit you may have set with Crown, which is governed by the Crown Sydney Wallet Terms and Conditions.
